Put your best coupon in front of shoppers at exactly the right moment.
You will be redirected to the Shopify app store.
A discount popup (also written pop up discount) displays a coupon code or special offer to visitors on your Shopify store — a welcome discount for first-time shoppers, a timed flash sale, or an exit offer to save a departing visitor. It's one of the most reliable ways to lift conversion rate, and with Pop Up Discount by MITS you can launch one for free in a couple of minutes without touching code.
A visible, time-limited discount creates urgency and removes the last bit of hesitation before checkout. Because the coupon is delivered in exchange for an email or phone number, a pop up discount also grows your marketing list — so even shoppers who don't convert today become people you can reach tomorrow with email and SMS follow-ups.
No — "discount popup" and "pop up discount" are two spellings of the same thing: an on-site message that offers a shopper a discount. Whichever way you search for it, the goal is identical: put your best offer in front of the right visitor at the right moment and turn browsers into buyers.

Most of the difference between a popup that converts at 1% and one at 5% comes from four settings rather than from the design. These are the options in Pop Up Discount by MITS and how to use them.
| Setting | Options | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Trigger | after a time delay, at a scroll depth (10–100%), or on exit intent | A popup that opens before the visitor has seen a product converts worse than one that waits |
| Show again after closing | every new session, or after 3, 7, 15, 30, 90 or 180 days | Stops the same visitor from seeing the offer on every page |
| Pages | home, product, collection, cart, search, blog, pages and other Shopify page types | Show a welcome offer on the home page, a product-specific nudge on product pages |
| Form | email, phone or both, each optional or required, with your own validation texts | Asking for less raises sign-ups; asking for both builds email and SMS lists at once |
| Design | size, colours, background image, button colours, dark mode, full screen on mobile | Match the theme so the popup reads as part of the store, not an ad |
| Average order value | Offer that usually works | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Under $30 | Free shipping | Shipping is a large share of a small basket; free shipping feels bigger than 10% |
| $30–$100 | 10% off the first order | Easy to understand, cheap enough to give to every new subscriber |
| Over $100 | A fixed amount, e.g. $15 off $100 | A fixed sum reads larger than a percentage and protects margin on big orders |
Create the code in Shopify first (Discounts → Create discount), limit it to one use per customer, and only then paste it into the popup. The discount logic stays in Shopify; the popup only shows the code.
Every email or phone number submitted through the popup is saved as a customer in your Shopify admin. From there Shopify Email, marketing automations and Shopify Flow can send the welcome series — no extra email platform is required, and nothing has to be exported.
Change one setting at a time — trigger, delay or offer — and compare two weeks with two weeks; otherwise you will not know which change worked.
Create the discount in Shopify's Discounts section, then use Pop Up Discount by MITS to display it in a customizable popup with your chosen trigger.
